What Happens After You Die? | Pastor Joe Shutts
Wednesday May 06, 2026
Wednesday May 06, 2026
This Sunday, Pastor Joe Shutts concluded our Apostles’ Creed series with Part 5, focusing on the hope we have in life everlasting, the resurrection of the body, and what happens after we lose loved ones. Pastor Joe walked us through the final section of the Creed, reminding us that our faith does not end at death. As Christians, we believe in the promise of eternal life and the resurrection of a new, glorified body. He shared the powerful truth that those who are in Christ are not lost forever, but are with Him, and that one day we will be reunited. Throughout the message, Pastor Joe helped unpack what happens after death and what Scripture teaches about eternity. He reminded us that heaven is not just a distant idea, but a real promise, and that our future is secure in Christ. The hope of resurrection means that death is not the end, but the beginning of something far greater. He also spoke on the comfort this brings when we grieve. While loss is real and painful, we do not grieve without hope. Because of Jesus, we can trust that our loved ones who followed Him are in His presence, and that we will see them again. This message reminds us that our faith is anchored in an eternal promise. Through Jesus, we have victory over death and the assurance of life everlasting. Thanks for joining us. We’re glad you’re here.

The Holy Spirit Explained | Pastor Joe Shutts
Wednesday May 06, 2026
Wednesday May 06, 2026
This Sunday, Pastor Joe Shutts continued our Apostles’ Creed series with Part 4, focusing on the powerful truth of the Holy Spirit and what it means for our faith today. Pastor Joe walked us through the section of the Apostles’ Creed that declares belief in the Holy Spirit, explaining how the Spirit is an essential part of the Trinity. He reminded us that Christians believe in one God revealed in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. While the Father creates and the Son redeems, the Holy Spirit actively works in our lives today. Throughout the message, Pastor Joe helped unpack what the Holy Spirit actually is and what the Spirit does. The Holy Spirit is not just a force or a feeling, but the living presence of God working within believers. The Spirit guides us, convicts us, strengthens us, and helps us grow in our relationship with Christ. Pastor Joe also explained that the Holy Spirit is how God continues to move in the world today. Through the Spirit, believers are comforted, empowered, and led to live lives that reflect Christ. The same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead now lives within those who follow Him. This message reminds us that our faith is not only about believing truths about God, but about experiencing His presence daily through the Holy Spirit. As we continue our journey through the Apostles’ Creed, we are reminded that God is not distant. Through the Holy Spirit, He is present, active, and working in our lives right now. Thanks for joining us. We’re glad you’re here.

Guarding The Threshold | Pastor Jon Morgan
Wednesday May 06, 2026
Wednesday May 06, 2026
This Sunday at New Freedom Church, Pastor Jon Morgan brought a powerful message titled “Guarding the Threshold.” The message challenged men to step into the role God has called them to as protectors and spiritual leaders of their homes. In Biblical times, the threshold was the entrance to a home. Whoever stood at the threshold determined what was allowed in and what was kept out. Pastor Jon reminded us that today, men are called to guard the threshold of their families by protecting their homes spiritually, emotionally, and physically. When men take their place as leaders in faith, it changes everything for their families and for the next generation. We also celebrated an incredible Baptism Sunday, watching lives publicly declare their faith in Jesus and step into the new life He offers. If you'd like to learn more about New Freedom Church or get connected, we would love to meet you. Join us on Easter Sunday: 9:30 AM & 11:00 AM April 5th Every Sunday: 10:30am We’d love to have you celebrate with us! Subscribe to stay connected and hear more messages like this.

Is Jesus God? | Pastor Joe Shutts
Wednesday May 06, 2026
Wednesday May 06, 2026
This Sunday, Pastor Joe Shutts continued our Apostles’ Creed series with Part 3, focusing on the powerful declaration that Jesus is Lord. Pastor Joe addressed a question many people still ask today: Is Jesus really God? He walked us through one of Jesus’ clearest statements in Scripture, “I am the way, the truth, and the life.” In saying this, Jesus was not presenting Himself as one option among many. He was making a bold and exclusive claim about who He is. Pastor Joe explained that Jesus does not point us toward a path. He is the way. He does not simply teach truth. He is the truth. He does not just offer a better life. He is the life. And as Jesus continues in that passage, no one comes to the Father except through Him. This message reminds us that declaring “Jesus is Lord” means trusting Him fully as the only way to God. It calls us to anchor our faith not in culture or opinion, but in the clear words of Christ Himself. Whether you have followed Jesus for years or are still exploring what you believe, this teaching is a powerful reminder that real hope, real truth, and real life are found in Him alone. Thanks for joining us. We’re glad you’re here.

The Lie of Shame | Pastor Rick Allen
Wednesday May 06, 2026
Wednesday May 06, 2026
This Sunday, Pastor Rick Allen filled in for Pastor Joe Shutts and delivered a powerful and freeing message about the lie of shame and the truth of what Jesus has done for us. Pastor Rick spoke directly to the weight that so many people carry, the burden of past mistakes, guilt, and the constant reminder of who we used to be. He explained that shame is one of the enemy’s biggest lies. It whispers that we are disqualified, dirty, or too far gone. But through Jesus, that lie is completely broken. When we give our lives to Christ, our sins are not just covered, they are wiped away clean. Pastor Rick reminded us that the cross does not leave room for lingering shame. If Jesus has forgiven you, you are forgiven. If He has made you new, you are new. The idea that we must continue to live under shame is not from God. This message walks through the freedom, identity, and confidence that come from understanding who we are in Christ. It reminds us that God is not holding our past over our heads. Instead, He invites us into a life of freedom, restored identity, and bold faith. Whether you have struggled with shame for years or you are just beginning your walk with Jesus, this teaching is a clear and encouraging reminder that in Him, you are clean, you are loved, and you are free. Thanks for joining us. We’re glad you’re here.

God Loves You Anyway | Pastor Joe Shutts
Wednesday May 06, 2026
Wednesday May 06, 2026
In this message, Pastor Joe Shutts continues The Apostles’ Creed series by focusing on the phrase, “I believe in God the Father Almighty.” This service explores what it truly means to call God our Father and how the word Abba reveals a deeply personal and intimate relationship between God and His children. Pastor Joe shares personally about how he loves his own children unconditionally, helping us see a real life picture of what that kind of love looks like. He explains that in a similar way, God’s love for us is unconditional, steady, and faithful. At the same time, he makes it clear that there is one condition: we must give our lives to God. When we surrender to Him and trust Him as Father, we step into that unconditional love fully as His children. This message walks through the security, identity, and confidence that come from knowing we are loved by a perfect Father. It reminds us that God is not distant or detached, but near, compassionate, and committed to His people. Whether you have always understood God as Father or you are wrestling with that idea, this teaching offers a grounding and encouraging look at what it means to belong to Him. Thanks for joining us. We’re glad you’re here.
